Valuation & Pricing Guidance

The “1946 Peace” issue is not especially scarce, as large quantities were printed and commonly used by returning servicemen as investments, so many sheets survived.

Because it is of a more common issue, even mint, it will not command very high multiples unless in exceptional condition or with rarities (top plate blocks, etc.).

As a reference, some NZ revenue / postal fiscal stamps in good condition are traded for moderate sums; however, this Peace issue is likely low-to-mid value among collectors of NZ stamps.

Given that, my suggested pricing is:

Fixed “Buy It Now” price: £8.00 – £12.00

Auction (starting bid): £4.00 – £6.00

You can also add a “Best Offer” option, allowing small negotiation (e.g. ±10-20%).

If it is in exceptional, pristine MNH condition with strong demand, you might push toward £15, but that is optimistic.
