Price & Valuation (suggested):

Because these are relatively modern (mid-to late twentieth century) issues and are used, their value is modest unless there is a rare variety, error, or particularly desirable cancellation. I estimate the lot value might be in the range £3 to £15 for the group (depending on condition, demand, and buyer).

Individually, the “Helvetia 80” commemorative ones are common issues, so each might fetch something like £1 to £3 (or less) depending on condition. The Pro Juventute and the Luzern 800 Years might fetch slightly more among thematic collectors, but likely still in the low-£ range.

Recommended Listing Price:

You could list the lot as a fixed price (Buy It Now) around £9.99 to see what interest it draws, or list at £12.99 with “Make Offer” to allow negotiation.

Auction Option:

Alternatively, you could list as an auction (e.g. start at £2.99 or £4.99) with a 7- or 10-day duration to attract bidders. That could get you closer to market value if a collector is specifically seeking these types.

Shipping & Handling:

Specify that shipping is secure, with protection (e.g. stamp mounts / small rigid mailer). International shipping optional. Indicate cost and handling time.

Photos & Description:

Use clear, sharp photos of front and back (as you have). Mention any flaws (creases, off-center, missing perfs, paper thinning) in the description. Show scale (e.g. alongside a ruler or another known stamp).

My Reasoning / Background

These stamps say “Helvetia” which is the Latin name used on Swiss stamps.

Many modern Swiss commemoratives (post-1950s onward) in used condition tend to have low value unless rare varieties or errors.

The “Année Mondiale des Communications 1983 – Helvetia 80” is a known commemorative design.

The “Pro Juventute 1942” issue is part of a Swiss charity stamp series; used examples are collectible but common.

The “800 Jahre Stadt Luzern 1178-1978” is also a common commemorative issue; unless it has an error it is not highly valuable.

A specialized stamp catalog (e.g. Michel, Scott, Zumstein) would list catalogue values; actual selling prices are usually a fraction of catalogue when used.

For example, in past auctions, even classic Swiss “Sitting Helvetia” stamps in rare condition might catalogue at high values but realize much less in real world due to condition factors.
