A333-Switzerland 1974 Helvetia 15c Commemorative “1924-1974” Swiss Stamp Celes

Notes & caveats & valuation

The stamp reads “HELVETIA 1924 — 1974 SJH ASJ ASG” with a face value “15” and name “Celestino Piatti” (designer) and “Courvoisier S.A.” (printer).

“Helvetia” is the Latin name for Switzerland used on Swiss stamps.

The “1924–1974” suggests a commemorative design — possibly marking a 50-year event.

I did a quick search: similar Swiss Helvetia stamps from 1974 show up, e.g. a “1974 2v MNH complete set. Universal Postal Union” listing.

Another listing: “SWITZERLAND, HELVETIA, 1974, Cent. UPU, set of 2 stamps” for ~US$1.05.

These examples suggest that such stamps are common, especially in mint or used condition, and not extremely high value in many cases.

The value depends heavily on condition (mint never hinged, mint hinged, used, any flaws, centering, gum, perforations, etc.).

Given that, here’s a sample eBay listing draft:
